Adding Adsense To Your Child Theme WordPress Blog

In this short post I’d like to share with you several ways in which you can add AdSense ad units to your Church Child theme WordPress blog. If you’ve just installed your Church Child theme with Genesis Theme framework and want your ads to be shown on your blog accordingly. Also note that this theme is one of the best wordpress themes 2017. So here are some steps to making this possible.

Adding AdSense to individual posts!

This is relatively simple. Generate an Ad unit code usually the 300 x 250 or 468 x 60 works best. Create and assign a new channel for your ad, once created copy the entire code generated. In your WordPress admin dashboard, create and write a new post, then click on the HTML tab in the editor and paste the entire AdSense code generated earlier on. Paste the code above your post content and press enter to create a space between your AdSense code and your post’s content.

Add a space in between your post content and ad unit code.

If you want to have an ad displayed at the bottom of the post as well, scroll down to the bottom of your post within the editor and past the code anywhere below your post’s content.

This process has to be done each time you create a new blog post and should you want to display AdSense in each of your posts thereafter.

Adding AdSense in a widget to display in your sidebar!

This is another simple way to add AdSense to your blog. Create a 300 x 250 image or text Google AdSense code. On your WordPress dashboard under Appearance go to Widgets, drag the TEXT widget anywhere to your sidebar and paste the code into the box and hit save.

Drag the TEXT widget to anywhere in your sidebar to add adsense code.

Adding AdSense in a widget to display in the header!

This principally involves the same method as described above. Except the header Ad slot will only comfortably display a 468 x 60 ad unit. Drag the TEXT widget to Header Right section of your sidebar options.
